Designed for adult lap swimmers with varying levels of experience & fitness goals, this swim club uses a combination of coached practices & independent workouts to introduce adult swimmers to competative swimming. Competition is optional.

Participants will become more comfortable in the water on their own. Activities include submerging mouth, nose & eyes, blowing bubbles, floating on front & back with help and exploring arm leg movements on front & back with help.

Participants must be able to float independently. Participants will learn front & back gliding without assistance, front & backstroke (arm & leg action coordinated) and introduction to the big pool and treading water.

Participants must be able to submerge independently. Participants will learn to float on front/back and glide with minimal support with & without kicks, begin arm movement of front & backstroke, jump into shallow water, and retrieve a submerged object.

The next step after Pre-School Level 3. Participants will work on refining coordinated arm & leg action with an introduction to rotary breathing (breathing to the side while swimming on front), swimming on side and treading water.

Participants in this program must have passed all requirements of Youth Level 3. The program is designed to introduce your child to the concept of a swim team, team building, good sportsmanship, and how to swim for exercise.

Beginner class for children ages 6 & up to begin in an age-appropriate lesson. Participants enrolled in this class will become familiar with all the skills in the Pre-School Lesson Program. This lesson will be taught in both the teaching and big pool.

Participants must have completed Youth 5. Not ready for the twice a week hour long practices? Introduction to competative swimming is an opportunity for kids to learn fundamentals of competative swimming without the commitment of joining swim team.
